Administration of the
Rapid Antigen Test Supervised via

1. Remove the nasal swab from the pouch.

 

2. Place the swab into one of the patient’s nostrils.

3. Slowly rotate 3-5 times the swab over the surface of the nostril.

4. Slowly remove the swab from the nostril while rotating it.

5. Peel off aluminum foil seal from the top of the extraction vial containing the extraction buffer

 

6. Place the swab into the extraction vial. Rotate the swab vigorously at least 5 times.

7. Remove the swab by rotating against the extraction vial while squeezing the sides of the vial to release the liquid from the swab. Properly discard the swab.

 

8. Close the vial with the provided cap and push firmly onto the vial.

9. Mix thoroughly by flicking the bottom of the tube.

 

10. Invert the extraction vial and hold the sample vertically above the sample well. Squeeze the vial gently. Allow three (3) drops of sample to fall into the sample well. 2 drops of the sample are required minimum volume to initiate the test run and invalid results will be obtained if 1 drop of sample is added to the cassette. Leakage of the sample is possible when 6 drops or more of the sample are added.

What is COVID-19?

Once your test is purchased, you will have an itemized receipt that will contain the information you will need to apply for reimbursement directly from your health insurance provider. We always recommend checking with your benefits provider about coverage.
Test Preparation

Your Antigen Test kit will arrive ready to use and will include the nasal swab, buffer solution, and test cassette. An instruction card is included for your review prior to the telehealth appointment. Please remove these items from the pouch in advance of your telehealth appointment, but do not open the sealed individual containers. Your designated Health Care Professional will direct you on how to administer the test.

What is the significance of this test's results?

The Antigen Test is diagnostic. A positive result indicates the presence of the protein antigen associated with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and therefore indicates current viral infection. A negative result indicates that the protein antigen associated with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is not present and that there is no viral infection.

How Fast Will I Get My Test?
Once your order is complete, your package will be shipped from our fulfillment warehouse within 1 business day (Monday – Friday). We estimate that you will receive your package within 1-3 business days of placing your order depending on what type of shipping you select. You have the option of purchasing expedited shipping to your home for an additional fee. Kits that are ordered Saturday and Sunday will not be shipped until the following Monday.

Who Should Take This Test?
Test kit eligibility is determined based on the screening questionnaire to prioritze testing. The individual taking the test must be 18+.

The criteria prioritizes people who are:

  • Currently experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath
  • Think you may have been exposed to COVID-19

If you’re experiencing severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, seek medical attention right away. The CDC recommends calling your healthcare provider or facility to let them know that you may have COVID-19 which will help them to take steps to keep others from being exposed.
